Dr Ang Li
Research Fellow
Dr Ang Li is a Research Fellow in Health Housing at the Centre for Health Policy within the Melbourne School of Population and Global Health, The University of Melbourne. Her research interests are in social and environmental determinants of health using social epidemiology and health econometrics methodologies. Her current work focuses on the nexus between housing and health over the life course and the role of housing in mitigation and adaptation to the health impact of climate change and extreme weather. She has expertise in applying econometrics and causal modelling to assess housing and health inequalities using longitudinal, administrative, and linked data. She has received multiple early career researcher grants in recent years. She previously worked as a health econometrician at the University of Sydney and Sydney Local Health District, applying econometrics and statistics to evaluate health services, clinical interventions, and public policies. Her PhD thesis on housing and fertility was awarded the Walter Noel Gillies Prize for Best PhD Thesis in Economics by the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences, University of Sydney.
Dr Cynthia Isley
Research Fellow
Dr Cynthia Isley is a Research Fellow in Environmental Science at the University of Adelaide, researching how cold Australian homes really are, via the indoor temperature validation study. Cynthia has expertise in investigating environmental contaminants, particularly in air and dust; and determining what these mean in terms of human health risk. For the last few years, Cynthia has been running the DustSafe citizen science program, investigating contaminants in homes across Australia and in 35 countries. She has recently completed research in the Pacific Islands on the health risk of air pollutants from burning of household waste, traffic emissions and industrial diesel burning.
Adelle Mansour
Research Fellow
Adelle Mansour is a Research Fellow and PhD student in Healthy Housing at the Centre for Health Policy within the Melbourne School of Population and Global Health, The University of Melbourne. After completing a Master of Public Health at the University of Melbourne in 2021, Adelle now provides research support in the University's Healthy Housing Unit, where she works across a variety of projects.
In her PhD, Adelle is investigating the role of citizen science approaches in collecting housing data and generating solutions to enhance the resilience of our housing infrastructure and thereby protect the health of occupants in the face of intensifying environmental hazards. In doing so, Adelle’s research aims to support the uptake of citizen science practices in the field of public health.

Dr Erika Martino is a Research Fellow at the Centre for Health Policy within the Melbourne School of Population and Global Health, The University of Melbourne. Erika's was recently awarded a VicHealth fellowship to for her research: Toward health equity in housing - Empowering culturally and racially marginalised and First Nations renters
Dr Amy Clair

Yuxi Li
Graduate Researcher
Amy Clair is a researcher in the Australian Centre for Housing Research at The University of Adelaide. Her work focuses on the many ways that housing influences health as part of the complexity stream of the NHMRC Centre of Research Excellence on Healthy Housing. Her research has demonstrated associations between housing experiences and health biomarkers, developed a measure of housing precariousness and highlighted the importance of housing to child well-being.
Yuxi Li is a PhD candidate in the Centre for Health Policy, Melbourne School of Population and Global health, at the University of Melbourne. Her PhD investigates the impact of housing on children’s health through the life course using causal methods. Her research interests include social determinants of health, health economics, and quantitative methods. Prior to her PhD candidature she completed a Master of Science in Social Epidemiology at University College London, and a Bachelor of Engineering in Food Engineering at Shanghai Jiao Tong University.
