Professor Rebecca Bentley joins Global Commission on Healthy Indoor Air

In September 2025, Professor Rebecca Bentley joined over 100 international leaders at the UN General Assembly for the launch of the Global Commission on Healthy Indoor Air, an initiative led by the International WELL Building Institute (WBI).

Serving as a Commissioner, Rebecca will work with experts from across the globe to promote indoor air as a critical public health priority and drive coordinated global action and solutions, including the development of a Global Framework for Action and National Blueprints.

Indoor air quality is a pressing public health issue, associated with close to 3.2 million premature deaths per year. Despite its significant impact, Rebecca says indoor air is often overlooked, noting that the Global Commission is an important opportunity to shine a 'spotlight' on healthy indoor environments.
